Been coming here for a couple of years now Enjoy their food so this is constructive comment Please do not put chairs outside if customer has to wait for more than 15 mins have to go inside twice to remind them patron is outside waiting. Also I hope this iconic place is bot turned into a hipster place where people come just to take food pics. Lessens table turn over.

We came to this location after hiking at elfin Forest, which is about five minutes away. We were looking for a quick breakfast place that had seating outside for our dog. It's literally from getting on/off the 78, etc. It's a cute homey Playset features everything you would want in homestyle cooking. I was torn between breakfast and lunch but opted with breakfast. I had the ABC omelette while my hubs had the Cajun scramble. We also got a cinnamon roll and biscuit instead of toast. The food was outstanding. The hashbrowns were elite. Nice and crispy and not greasy. The cinnamon roll was large and served warm. It taste freshly made. We also ordered two slices of pie to go home - one Dutch apple and one cherry. We were happy to have our dog outside. Nice size portions. Super friendly service. Parking right out in front. A little pricey overall, but I would rather support the local business than the larger breakfast chains. We actually are not in the area, but from south Orange County, but we definitely would return and try other things.

I can't read the restaurant because I did not eat there but called two days prior to Thanksgiving for a cherry pie. Last minute my grandpa decided he wanted a cherry pie so I was on a mission to find one. I called in the lady let me know there was three left in the case. She was so kind. So I went and sure enough grabbed a cherry pie. The pie is beautiful and so tasty. Loved the sugared top.

I'm in Escondido occasionally from L.A. for business. (the business of tournament Disc Golf) Creature of habit that I am, I stay at the same trusted AirBnb and often eat at my favorite restaurants - but I was looking for a new breakfast joint. Debbie's Pie Shoppe popped up on a search and, when I saw that they were a full-fledged bakery - in business for 27 years! - I knew what I had to do... bring this home for wifey: THE PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP PIE What?! I had no idea this was a thing! This concoction of toasted pecans, luscious chocolate, that pecan, slightly mapley, rich and creamy-goo that happens when things are properly caramelized and lovingly prepared...holy cow, it was so outrageously good, it was in fact beyond description. You've GOT to try this. Bring one home to Ye Olde Home now. Thanketh Me Later. P.S. - Thank you to the bright-eyed, smiling and lovely woman that was working attentively at 0700 that Sunday morning...you're the best!

Debbie's Restaurant is a very casual kind of place; the atmosphere is welcoming and it's always relaxing to stop by :-) Tip: This is a family-run, Mom & Pop restaurant :-) Service is great - everyone is VERY friendly, and it's always fun to dine here.  Even better, the food they serve here is completely awesome! Sometimes (especially on Sunday mornings) there can be a long wait for seating, but the food is so good that the wait is completely worth it :-)
